Givolve charges no platform fee
Every dollar you give goes to the person who needs it. Givolve takes zero percent of your gift.
Transaction fee
A standard payment processing fee of 2.9% plus CA$0.30 per gift is deducted from the gift amount. This fee goes to Stripe, our payment processor, not to Givolve. It covers the cost of securely moving money from your card to the recipient.
For example, on a CA$50 gift, the transaction fee is approximately CA$1.75. The recipient receives CA$48.25.
Optional tip
At checkout you can add an optional tip to support Givolve. The tip options are 5%, 10%, 15%, or no tip. The default is 15% but you can change it or remove it entirely. Tips are how Givolve stays running without charging a platform fee.
Your tip is separate from your gift and does not reduce what the recipient receives.
Giver Circle
The Giver Circle is a monthly membership that supports Givolve directly. Members choose an amount that works for them: CA$5, CA$10, CA$25, or a custom amount. Giver Circle members help keep Givolve free for everyone.
