How Givolve works
Two ways to use Givolve
Most people arrive on one side and end up on both. You ask for a desk, then realise your old coat fits someone else's need.
Ask for what you need
- Say what you need. A coat, a crib, a desk for schoolwork. Add a photo if it helps.
- Explain why, if you want to. Only someone offering to help sees it, and only once they offer.
- A neighbour who has one responds through Givolve.
- You agree a time and place, and they hand it over.
Pass on what you no longer need
- Post the item with a photo, while it is still dry and in one piece.
- Choose how it gets claimed. Let people apply with a reason and pick who receives it, or first come first served.
- Someone nearby claims it and arranges a pickup with you.
- The item goes to someone who needs it instead of going to waste.
No fees, no listing charges, no money of any kind moves through Givolve.
