Givolve is a platform where people help people, directly.
Whether it is money for an emergency, a winter coat for a child, or furniture for a family starting over, Givolve connects the person who needs help with the person who can give it. No middlemen, no corporate overhead. Just neighbours helping neighbours.
Why this exists
Every year, millions of usable items end up in landfills across Canada while families nearby go without. A couch someone is throwing away is the same couch another family needs. Money raised for medical bills should not lose 15 to 20 percent to platform fees before it reaches the patient.
Givolve exists to close those gaps. We move what is not needed to who needs it, and we make sure financial help reaches people whole, not skimmed.
Less waste, more good
Most of what Canadians consume eventually ends up in landfills. Not because it is broken or useless, but because the person who has it and the person who needs it have no way to find each other.
Most of us hold onto things not because we need them but because we do not know what else to do with them. Throwing them away feels wasteful. Selling them feels like too much work. So they sit in closets and garages, taking up space, while someone nearby goes without.
Givolve makes giving as easy as taking a photo. Post what you no longer need, choose who gets it, and arrange a pickup. Your home gets lighter, someone else's life gets easier, and nothing goes to waste. Every item given through Givolve is one less thing in a landfill and one less purchase someone had to make.
What makes Givolve different

Give money directly to a verified need. Donate items you no longer use. Or browse free items posted by your neighbours. No other platform combines all three.
No platform fee.
Givolve charges zero percent on every gift. A standard transaction fee covers payment processing, and an optional tip keeps the platform running. That is it.

Every need is reviewed. Identity verification and story verification build trust so givers know their help is real.

Every item donated through Givolve is an item saved from landfill and a purchase someone did not have to make. Giving is not just generous. It is sustainable.
Built in Canada, starting close to home
Givolve was born out of a simple observation: the things people throw away are often the same things other people desperately need. And the help people can offer rarely has a direct path to the people who need it most. That idea, shaped through conversations with community workers, families in need, and people who give quietly every day, became this platform.
We are starting in Canada because that is where the conversations started and where we can do this properly. A family in Halifax, a student in Calgary, a newcomer in Winnipeg all face the same gaps. We would rather serve one country well than spread ourselves thin across many.
